Trapping in the mountains of Bhutan with the ALS compact skinner and LED light. The trap is incredibly portable and collapses down to fit easily into my luggage. Loving the ability to be able to get a taste of the moths in such a diverse country - 300 or so species so far! Now just to identify them all... ;-) - Jonathan Newman, Cambs
I recently returned from a trip to the Minervois region (Aude) in France and took the LED lights and tracer 8Ah lithium battery pack you supplied along with me. Although weather was not ideal with very strong winds for much of the time I was there I managed to get in a couple of nights trapping and the lamps performed very well. I was staying in an area dominated by ‘garrigue’ vegetation interspersed with small vineyards and caught a nice selection of moths. - Jonathan Wallace, Newcastle upon Tyne
Using the new LED light last night [early June] I was happy with the results - over 50 species at two spots along the railway line here at North Elmham including Seraphim and Gold Spot. I'm sure an MV would have drawn in more species but with this set up I was able to get to places I would never have been able to lug a heavy generator and trap to - I think it's going to be really useful. - Dave Appleton, Norfolk
